The VST is a 2.6-meter telescope with a 268-megapixel camera, called OmegaCAM, at its core. The visible-light telescope is designed to map the sky both quickly and with precise image quality.

keep on believing the same thing for the sake of tradition.
Whether or not scientists are someday “proven” to be correct or
wrong in their theories, they still provide a valuable reminder
that questioning IS the basis for new discovery and for Science
